A Multiuser Multitouch Table offers real collaboration at one computer desk. The Diamond Touch Table.
Circle 12 sets it up with a capacitve touchscreen, which has thousands of small antennas below the surface, which transmit a small redio frequency. The users couples this to a reciever below his chair, sothat the multiuser detection is realized.
The image comes from a beamer which is projecting the computer screen onto the table. The inventors claim, that they have they finest detection which usually lies in within the size of a single pixel. They could achieve this, through an interpolation of the antenna signals.
Interesting technology, which was invented at Mitsubishis research center.
Seems to be of great fun for gaming.
